Wall StreetWall Street Average User Rating: (0 votes, add your vote or comments) Wall Street is the historical heart of the financial district in New York City. Many of the big financial firms have moved to other locations in lower and mid-town Manhattan, but it is considered the 'main street' of the financial markets and is the residence of the New York Stock Exchange, the largest in the world, at 20 Broad Street. Wall Street is in the oldest area of the city, getting its name from the wall that was an early boundary of the district in the days of the Dutch in 1652. The wall was meant to defend the settlers from Indian attack. Top of PageDo you know of a Place that should be included here? Please Suggest a place in the appropriate category. |
