Riverbank State ParkRiverbank State Park Average User Rating: (0 votes, add your vote or comments) Located near 145th Street and Riverside Drive, Riverbank State Park offers great views along the Hudson River and serves as a great place for year-round recreational enjoyment. Its 28-acres include a ice rink, indoor pool, gymnasium, waterfront amphitheater, 400-meter, eight-lane running track, indoor theater, playing fields, playgrounds, picnic areas and the new Totally Kid Carousel, created by Milo Mottola and 37 children, whose designs were used to create the ride. By Car: From the NYS Thruway: Take Major Deegan Expressway South; exit at the 155th Street Bridge, turn right & bear right off the bridge onto 155th Street, continue straight to Broadway, turn left and continue to 145th Street, turn right and continue down the hill one black to the entrance of the park. From New Jersey: Take George Washington Bridge (lower level) to Henry Hudson Parkway South, bear left and exit at Riverside Drive, continue South on Riverside Drive to 145th Street, turn right to enter the park. From Queens, Long Island: Take Grand Central Parkway Westbound go over Triboro Bridge and bear right into Manhattan lanes. Bear right past toll for Harlem River Drive, take to 135 St., proceed west to Riverside Drive and 145 Street. From LaGuardia Airport: Follow Queens, Long Island directions above. From Kennedy Airport: Take Van Wyck Expressway North, stay in middle or left lane, at fork bear left for Grand Central Parkway and proceed to Triboro Bridge. Follow Queens, Long Island directions above. Parking: Along Riverside Drive or on surrounding streets. By Subway : #1 or #9 to 145th Street - walk one block west.
